Default Bigger tires? Stock Equipment???

Out of curiousity, how much of a toll do larger tires take on the stock steering equipment?

How well do the power steering pumps hold up? I mean, some of these tires and wheels are HUGE, and I can't see them being very light. Plus, they're getting a real work out when on the trails, with the constant turning and thick-sticky mud, or big rocks!

Are upgrades needed? Is this something I should factor into my budget down the road (and how far down the road?!)

The big thing about the steering box is do not force it. if you can't turn then don't put a bunch of pressure on it and force the issue. Back up and try another line. This is also a major problem with tie rods.

I wasn't thinking too big at all. 33 at most. But, I figured width (between 10 and 12 inches right now) would have a factor too.

I guess busting the box is a possible concern!
