Quick question...
Are the windshield channels something you can remove easily and remount as needed?
I have a hardtop but would like to be able run a bikini top during certain times of the year and have some rain protection.

You should of looked at spider web shade .com. The are the perfect tops. No extra bar and you can leave them on with either the original hard or soft top. No flapping at all.

The windshield channel clips into the front two clips above the windshield like the soft top does. It takes all of three second to take them loose.

I'm gonna look into these and see how they are so far I modified the rear straps I cut the original clips off and attached the bottom ratcheting part off ratchet straps to the straps and has been good so far but I still will look into it as I'd like to leave it on with the hardtop on

X2 on the spiderweb shade or dirtydawg shade. Dump the bikini top. It'll always flap at speed. The mesh shades don't.

Get yourself a couple yards of luggage grade 1000D cordura nylon, punch 1/2 holes in it every foot or so, and install grommets. Run elastic shock cord locks through each grommet around the sport bar and voila.

Actually, there's a little more to it. You'll want to hem or otherwise reinforce the edge of the cordura, best option would be 1.5" 43668 webbing sewn on the underside around the edges (cut the corudura 3" bigger on all sides and wrap it around the webbing before stitching) and cross bracing in line with the grommets on the edges.

I could probably build one in my shop in about half an hour, but it'd be in OD, woodland or Coyote as I don't stock black...and that's a LOT of material. It wouldn't be watertight, but it would give some protection.

EDIT - What the hell, I'll whip one up in OD just to see how it turns out. OD on black ought to look nice enough
