Default Blistein Shocks

Are Blisteins any good? I am looking to replace the stock ones with Bilstein HD shocks.

I'm running bilstein 5100 shocks and really love them. They are firmer than my stock shocks, which is nice-- especially when coming off a rock on the trail... far less bounce and overall just a much nicer ride, IMHO.

How are they for daily driving? Absorb bumps and potholes better?

Just depends on which model you get and who you buy them from since they can do custom valving for different suspension companies. Some are valved better than other.

My local off road shop would be ordering these directly from Bilstein. They are new. They are the Bilstein HDs. They are for non lifted Jeeps. They were going to order me the Bilstein 5100s but those are for lifted Jeeps only Im pretty sure.

Is there a noticeable improvement over stock?

If you have gas charged shocks already, I don't see where they woul be much of a difference on a non-lifted vehicle. The bilsteins I have are for the 4in lift. They ride really good. I added a spacer to the rear, now they're to short. I got some cheap rancho 5000 from an auto parts and can't really tell the difference right now. That may change in time. The rancho's for a 4in lift are 2ins. longer than the bilsteins,WTF?? I'm probably going to get the EVO shock re- locator and skid to but the mount 2in higher so I can put the bilsteins back on. With lift, yes definately get them, without lift dunno if it would be worth it, especially if you plan on lifting later and will need longer ones.

Im getting them because with my stock setup and the shrockworks on the front my bump stop are hitting the axles. I want to soften the ride and I will be adding a 3/4" spacer to the front as well.
