I have the 5100's and like them on and off road. You won't be unhappy with them.

Hellbound - you can't go wrong with Bilstein. Have you looked into the Fox Jeep JK OE Replacement Shocks Set? Google that and you should see results. I'll send u a PM with direct link.

You can adjust the compression for various conditions with the Fox. Also, not to add more analysis paralysis, but the Rancho RS 9000 Pro is a great shock too.

I love my bilsteins, but they are for lifted jeeps. You should look at picking up a set of Rubicon shocks in the for sale section. I think they'll do what you want for less money and a great ride that you know fits.

The off road shop called up Bilstein, and the ones that I am getting (Bilstein HD) are specifically for non lifted JKs.

The ones you pictured are for stock suspension vehicles and should work fine on a non lifted Jeep.

I think you will feel a little firmer ride at least thats how it feels to me. If I were to do it over again I would have left the stock shocks on until they needed replacing and put the money into something else that I wanted. The stock shocks are more than good enough if you not lifted and if You are you can always get shock extensions, if you put a lift on. If I had it to do over again thats what I would do. However when it came time for new shocks Bilstein would still be my choice.

I just installed Bilstein 5100's on my Jeep and couldn't be happier. The ride is excellent. I've run the stock shocks, Old Man Emu shocks, and now the Bilsteins. The Bilsteins offer the best ride and handling IMO.
