Default Body Armor 4x4 Rock Rails

I'm considering the Body Armor 4x4 Rock Rails and was wondering if anyone has these on their rig? The price looks good and there's a online dealer with free shipping. I couldn't tell from the web if these bolted to the frame or not and they require rivets and drilling into the pinch seam and body. I do have the Body Armor 4x4 front bumper which is working out great. My other option is the ACE Engineering Rock Rails but they look better with the Rubicon Rails, I don't want both due to weight issues. Any opinions are welcomed.

I wanted these and ended up with White Knuckle Off-road sliders...Google him up...they're reasonably priced and stout...moreso than others I have seen!

I have a box of Body Armor Extreme Rock Rails sitting in my garage...and that's where they will sit until I get back to a Fourwheel parts. They looked really sweet at an offroad show. Got them home and mounted them up. The top of the slider sat about 1" away from the body panel even after I attached the bolts to the pinch seam. I called Body Armor and sent them pictures and they told me to jack the slider up to push it to the panel. I did this and tightened the the pinch seam bolts again. I let the jack off and the slider still pulled away from the body. So I called Body Armor back and sent them more pictures and they still said I was doing something wrong. So I decided not to install them due to the fact that if I did I would have drilled holes in my body and installed the inserts and still had the sliders pull out and pull my body out. My opinion...they are garbage. Go with ACE with Rubi Rails.

I have the extreme rails. As prior poster noted you have to drill into the side of your jeep and use RivNuts. That was Pain in Backside and resulted in drilling two rivnuts out and replacing them. Seems there should be some sort of butterfly bolt that would work better. They have held up well. There have been no issues with them. They look nice and they are stout. I have used them as high lift jack point with no issues. That said. If I were to do it over I would have went with something else that didn't require drilling into the body. By drilling into the body I am now "married" to these rails unless I want to do some body work.

I had the exact same experience. Bought at show-cheap. Bolted up. A big gap up front. Decided not to drill. Returned. Got Smittybilt. Fit great. Very happy.
My advice-don't do it.

I have the ACE rails - no drilling, they mount with your frame bolts. All you have to do is grind a bit off the washers. Put them on in 30 minutes. Super tough.

I have over 5 hours trying to install those Body Armor pieces of junk. I should have went with my gut and bought ACE and spent 30 minutes installing them.

Had them for 2 years, replaced with ORE weld to frame ones.
BA worked OK, but since they are bolted to the body, after
a couple of years they started to bend upward because of
hard wheeling.
