If anybody needs bearings I received two sets and have one set extra! Let me know and they're yours free! (May have to charge shipping but it depends how much it is)

I replaced the latch with a stainless destaco latch with a locking lever. Works great and have never had my swing arm swing open on its own.

I'd be a taker on those bearings. Paying for shipping wouldn't be a problem!

Hey liverocity, thanks for posting your setup! I think that locking lever latch handle will do the trick for me. Do you know the model number of the one you have (is it a 331-R or 341-R)?

So glad I went with the TeraFlex tire carrier rather the swing on the run BA carrier!

It's the 341-R.

I installed the latch with the locking lever and couldn't be happier now.

Below was my 2nd temp fix (small bungee) because the 1st temp fix with the hitch pin didn't work (it kept tailgate from flying open but the latch still would spring open after bumps or whatnot).

The Destaco 341-R's handle is a little shorter but the bolt holes line up perfectly.

It took just a few minutes to attach.

I really have peace of mind with the locking latch, especially since I've upgraded to 37" tires and the swing arm is carrying a heavier load. I drove the same route where my swing arm would always pop open and I haven't had an issue yet.

Thanks again liverocity, you rock.

No yet but when it does arrive, it will be my next project. Since I put the 37 on the swing arm, I am eager to correct it (even more play in the arm now).
