I will be watching this for long term results. I would like the better milage, but didn't want to be the first to try it since there are so many nay sayers around here. If it does increase the octane, around here our 89 is cheaper than our 87 so it may work well for me with a hypertech.

Well friend, oxygen is oxygen.

It is a bit like some saying that man made chlorine molecules go to the upper atmosphere while the natural chlorine molecules float mid strata.

What was posted said oxygen, not rust, nor something else. Strip the oxygen out of the fuel and watch performance go flat. (I don't think you meant that)

Normally I was getting about 16 mpgs around the city and 19 on the highway. Thanks to Tropical Storm FAY I haven't been to work in four days so this is only city driving but I think it works, I get about 26 mpgs on the dash. I have not changed my driving style, I take off at lights and brake hard. Anyone else had any luck or is the dash wrong.
Along with your figures please post yr and model, gear ratio, tire/wheel sizes and any driveline mods you may have made.

I have to thank all of you for your posts.

I have not laughed, and chuckled ,and giggled so much fo a long time. Do you people not relize you are driving a 4500 lb vehicle with the areodynamics of a cinder block!!!!! Gas mileage was,and still is not in my vocabulary.

If you want MPG, stop all the trail worthy mods, and trade it in on a hybrid! It is a JEEP WRANGLER for crying out loud. Give it up. Yes gas prices are killing my budget here. I am no where near wealthy. But I dont care about my JK MPG. I care whether or not it will be able to conquer the RED and BLACK trails on Aug 27th at Rausch Creek.
As for all of the bolt on gadgets HMMMMMM
I dont believe ANYTHING that bolts on will give a JK 26 MPG I will go out on a limb here for all the others who are thinking it too......Bull S!@T There isaid it. CNN just had a show on and FOX picked it up too. A 1995 Ford Mustang that gets 100 MPG with the factory 5.0 liter. So if there was a product that gives JEEP WRANGLERS 26 MPG....almost double from factory claims of 15-18. I think it would be all over the NEWS by now just like the Mustang. So go ahead and spend 200 dollars.....good luck...NOT ME!!

i know some of these things that everyone here thinks dont work, work...not sure about this specifically. Chrysler WILL do what is cheapest for them....they dont addd cold air intakes, better headers and exhausts to increase performance because of emissions reasons and costs.....A friend of mine with a TJ has added one of those hydrogen fuel cells that he bought directions for online and has increased REAL MPG by about 50%

I added a snorkel and Kand N and have added quite a bit to my mpg. When driving 75, i still only get around 16 with bumpers, winch, lift, bigger tires etc....but when i draft behind trucks doing 65....i get around 22 average. LAst week i actually had a trip hit 24.4. 90 mile trip, averaging 63.

wranglers are obviously not meant to grab good mpgs, and we do not buy them for that purpose, and never will.... but it is stilly and ignorant to think that the mpgs of a stock JK cannot be improved.
