Default Bolt size and grade

I am going to get some replacement bolts for the the suspension components for my control arms and track bars. I have been having issues with my suspension install and have had to replace some of the bolts. Is there a listing of what size bolts are used? It appears most are M14 would be the main one. I was going to go with grade 8 9/16, which is equivalent. I am not convinced of the quality of OEM bolts that are used.

Ahhhh, finally someone else that doesn't trust the factory bolts. I replaced all of mine with the suspension. New bolts are always a good idea when switching components, the old ones won't always torque down right after they have been used. I went with Grade 8 in the appropriate sizes.

I had the same damn problem, damn bolts would not torque. Do you remember the sizes?

Its been a while, so I don't really remember, and I'm sitting in the airport right now waiting on my flight, so I really can't go check. I also had the luxury of just taking the bolts to the machine shop next door and grabbing what I needed from the bins as I needed them. I didn't need the Jeep to go buy them before the install.

13/16 Grade 8 in the appropriate length will solve 90% of your bolt issues. You will have to hunt around for some of the smaller or add ones.

Thats a pretty thick bolt, I thought they would be 9/16.

i know for a fact the rear trackbar bolt for the frame side is a 9/16x3". Had to get a grade 8 to replace a cross-threaded one for the teraflex bracket.

9/16 is a hair larger than 14mm. You may have to ream some holes out a tad.

My apologies, I was thinking bolt head/nut size (13/16 wrench and socket) I am not sure of the shank size, but it is probably around 9/16th.

9/16 is correct, don't rember the length though.
