Default Borla Cat-Back

Anyone have experience with this cat-back? I have read through many threads debating the value of cat-backs for gas mileage and HP. I am not looking for that, looks and sound are what I am after.

Can't tell you about the JK, but my experiece with Borla coming from a TJ, is that they are a good company for support and I liked the sound on the TJ. I don't think I've heard any complaints around here about Borla for the JK as far as sound and look.

I had some corrosion on my TJ that they replaced no questions asked. This would make me at least look at their product for the JK if I wanted to keep the stock location muffler. I, however, will be going between the rails whenever that money rolls in.

I went with the axle back Borla set up. It sounds great (with Airaid CAI) and I get better gas mileage if I can keep my foot out of it. The quality and fit is perfect and it feels like there is a little more power. I didn't bother with a catback system (catalyct converters back) because the factory pipes looked identical, except for the dimple over the axle. Save yourself some money and just get the axle back assembly. The Borla has a bit of a low rumble sound but it really starts to bark when the revs are high. Go to the Borla website for soundbites and part numbers!

I went with the single exit because I didn't want to lose bottom end torque. Borla suggested that I get the single exit. The dual sure looks great but there is less back pressure so you could gain top end power at the expense of bottom end torque loss.

You want an exhaust system for looks? Unless you're gonna be runnin people over with your Jeep, I don't think anybody will ever see it.

Borla is a good system, never heard one on a Jeep, but they are a major player in the sports/muscle car scene.
