Borla t-304 single or split exhaust?
Hey I have the money to buy a borla t-304 and I couldn't be more stoked to get it HOWEVER I'm a little unsure about which to get. I'm sure the split catback would give more performance and sound better but wouldn't it give me less of an advantage with clearance? Do they make skidplates that cover that tailpipes? What's everyone think?? Single or split borla?
Thanks!
Jesse

I read someone's review yesterday on here that said after he changed out the muffler for a split exhaust his low end power sucked and he had to do some cutting and welding to get it back to near stock...exactly why I refuse to touch the powertrain, unless I'm going to add a hemi or something crazy like that...Plus, when you make those kind of redneck cut and weld modifications on something complex (and expensive) as are today's engines, there is so much fluid dynamics and other math crap involved that you don't know what you'll end messing up in the long run.

I have the Borla Cat-back duals and i love them. Loud enough but not rice-burner-ish at all. As far as power loss, i haven't had any problems since i put it on. Still somewhat of a slug, but with an Air-raid intake, chip and the exhaust, i think i'm getting the most out of what Chrysler gave us.
