Default Which brand of shock?

I am looking to install the TF 2.5 4 door coil lift next week and will replace my shocks. I am looking at Teraflex's VSS, Bilstein's 5100 series and Fox tuned ones with remote resavior. Any experiances or recomendations?

Can only comment on the TF 9550 cause that's what I've got. Quite smooth on and off road. No complaints here.

I heard the stock Rubie shocks are Bilsteins. Are they comparable with the 5100 series shocks?

I have the 9550s. They are excellent shocks both on and off road. They are also a twin tube shock which is good if you dent one like I did last weekend. They will still function. Bilsteins are monotube and will not work if dented very much. Monotube do run a little cooler and rebound quicker, but I have not noticed any problems with the twin tube Teraflex shocks. They are great off road.

as mentioned above you are talking about two price points - 300 or 750-1300. remote res shock look really cool but honestly there are few that need them. the benefit if cooling for high speed off road, if this is what u plan on doing then the price is worth it. As far as i know the teraflex shocks are seen to be comparable to the rubis. you can get a set rubi shock much cheaper but it does mean using extenders. choose between 5100 and OME and you will cant really go wrong. the the rancho adjustable shocks are also nice if you want to play with stiffness.
