Default broken front coil spring?

I was preping my JK for Moab and Noticed my front coil spring is broken. It is rusted on the broken end so it has been that way a while. Has anyone else broken a spring? OEM oR aftermarket

I haven't taken any photos. The lift was prof. installed (not by TF) They are only 10 mins away. So I will have TF check it out tomorrow. Broke about the second turn up from bottom. I'll keep you informed.

well, if one of the two bump stop extensions is not installed, you most likely over compressed your coil. typically, this just results in a coil that does not return to full height but in rare cases, it can fatigue the wire to the point where it can break. of course, you could just have a coil that had a brittle spot on it. either way, i have no doubts that TF will take care of you.

I just got back from Tera Flex. They are replacing it with absolutely no hassle.
Even though they did not do the install they are standing behind thier product. As they always have for me. They will replace it tomorrow.

Both bump stops are installed correctly. Looking closer it looks like a flaw in the steel. here is a photo.

In the last 10 years, TeraFlex has only seen 2-3 coils fail like this. Typically when a coil fails, it's fatigue type.
