Here's mine. I don't have any illusions about keeping bugs away, but I want the front edge protected from rock chips. My last truck started to rust away in that spot before the warranty was up.

Just bought a kit of clear guard:

1) Rear fender front (where kids slide out of the jeep)
2) Hood front and about 1/4 way up hood
3) Front fender including the side by the turn light
4) Top frame of window and down the sides (down to hood)

I also have the bug deflector for the big rocks - Here in Calgary in the winter we have the dreaded CHINOOK. One day its sub zero, the next its warm....when its cold they salt and gravel the crap out of the roads...then it warms up and everything melts leaving our highways gravel layden.....do 80mph down a road with gravel? Well, it equals MAJOR ROCK CHIPAGE. We had our first bout of cold and I decided to spend the $250 to save some paint & future rustage.....they need this stuff for windshields.

Maybe I'll post the install this week if I can remember to take pictures.

Do they have some that work for a 2008 ? Not just for looks.

I had a bug guard on my last truck, and it didn't do shit. Maybe they work better for the JK, but I probably won't buy another. I drive a good portion of highway on the way to work, so rocks from 18 wheelers are pretty common, but I usually just try to drive slower and avoid the big rigs if I can.

To each their own.

Bought the 80 dollar weathertech one thinking it'd keep my windshield relatively clean - doesn't do squat...hood doesn't see many flying stones either...really wished I spent that 80 bucks on something else.
