Default Bump Stop extentions?

I installed a 2.5"BB with bilstien shocks. Now that the shocks will travel do i really need the bump stop extention. Not sure why i would if i do need them. Doesnt the axle still travel the same height with the factory bump stop?
Thanks

Default kind of

the bump stopsdo 2 things, keep your springs from over compressing and also keep your tires from eating your fenders at full flex. If your not going to flex it don't worry about them with the BB.... just my thoughts

Wouldnt the springs compress at the same rate? Doesnt the axle still move up as far as the original bump stop would move?? I know i have more articulation now and i have to watch my break lines. The tires are not the issue i have evo front tube fenders and i cut the rear fender.

Without the bumpstop extensions your factory springs can now compress an additional 2.5" before the axle reaches the factory bumpstops. I dont know if that will damage them as now they are capable of compressing more than they were designed to.
