Default Bumper install help!

So I started to install my Jeeperman rear bumper and the actual bumper was easy. The factory one comes off in a snap and the new unit is self explanitory. My problem is, how does the swing arm go together. I don't have any instructions and couldn't find any on the Jeeperman web site.

Does anyone out there in JK land have instructions on how to install the swing arm correctly? If so, please post or PM me. Thanks in advance.

Default seriously

Ok, I know there are atleast a hand full of people on this forum that have experience with installing the Jeeperman rear bumper swing arm. If you have instructions or suggestions I could use it. I'd like to get this done today.

Maybe all you guys with this bumper take yours to the local shop to have it put on. :toung:

I dont have one, but I bet some of the vendors would prob have some advice if no one else responds. Its a Saturday, so you may have a hard time getting in touch with any of them, but people like David @ Northridge usually have good knowledge on the products they sell. Hope this helpts.

I do not have a Jk bumper but I do have a older style Jeeperman TJ bumper. Could you possible take a picture of all the parts to the swing arm. With out seeing the parts I would guess that you need to install the bearings with a rubber mallet. Insert the serk?sp fitting. Use the large fender washers to shim up the swing arm so it will attach to the latch at the proper angle. This is a trial by errror method. Once you get the right level install a final washer on top and crank down the top nut. I might be completely off on this because it is a different bumper. Hopefully you will be doing a nice write up with pictures so I can use in a week or two when my new one shows up. Thanks -- send a picture of the parts.

Thanks for the response. I'll try to call the vender I got the bumper from later to see if they're open today. When I get it done I'll try to post some pic of the install. I'm not to sure how to load pictures to this forum yet, but just like the bumper, I'm sure I'll figure it out.
