Default Bumper with no rust finish

Interested in a front/rear bumper, but definitely not interested in one that will develop rust, anyone had a bumper for a while and still satisfied with the finish?

being that you live in a rust belt state, i would recommend getting a bumper in bare steel, prepping and painting it yourself. it is near impossible to get an aftermarket bumper that is powder coated and be a 100% rust free in conditions you see.

rust is gonna happen no matter what...just watch for it and deal with it before it gets really bad.

I thought I saw an aluminum bumper somewhere, but I couldn't begin to remember where.
I think there is one out there, but I don't know how sturdy it is.
Google search "aluminum off road bumper", and some come up.

If it is made of metal it will rust. Just take care of it, when it starts to rust sand it down and put a new coat of paint and repeat.

I have a Warn rock crawler front bumper. Paint was terrible. Rust and paint flaked off after one year. Sand blasted it and had it line-x. Did my rock rails too. Could not be happier. When I gat a rear bumper, will have it line-x right off the bat.

It the line-x hard to keep clean? I've noticed it tends to really hold dust and dirt.

Not at all. My XJ was line-x'ed on the inside. A firm steady hand with a power washer will clean it right up. For extra shine, use tire shine.
