Default bumpstop question

I have the teraflex 2.5 coil lift with stock wheels and tires, do i have to use the extended bumpstops or can i just use the stock ones? Im not getting as much flex with the extended ones on. I also want to add a 1" spacer in front to accommodate the weight of the winch and bumper. would that change if i didnt need the extended bumpstop ?

The extended bump stops have been engineered to go with the kit. You would have to see if at full flex your break lines are stretching and with the current bump stops and see if your axel is drooping so much that your springs come loose and fall out of their perches. If you want more flex you would need a bigger lift.

Do you have to run ext bumpstops? No.

Extended bumpstops keep you from over-compressing the coils, and from rubbing your tires on the fenders. (general rule of thumb is bumpstop height = lift height) It's a lot of work to take them out of your front springs just to find out that you actually do need them...

But, how tall are your tires? Do you disconnect? Do you have, or will you be going to, flat fenders? How much room do you have between the tire and fender? Do you mind replacing the the coils if over-compression damages them?

that makes sense just trying to get the most at a fraction of the cost. ( times are tight ). would upgraded control arms help?
