Default Bushwacker flat fenders wider than stock Rubicon flares?

I am trying to figure out rim backspacing and fender flares do Bushwhacker flat fenders allow for more tire coverage?

Our police are very diligent on ticketing for tires that stick out past the flares and I wanted to run a rim with a backspace of 4.5 or less with 35" 12.5" wide tires on a 16 or 17inch rim.

Thanks.

Xenon makes a narrow version and a wide version. The wides are 1.5" over stock flares.

That might work,

Are they any good? are they sturdy? hows the install? good quality?

anyone have any experience what the best back spacing to go with and keep the tires within these types of flares? I only need to make sure the tread that makes contact with the road is inside the flares sidewall does not count.

You have to have 4.5 inch back spacing to run 35's.

I think the trailmodds fenders are made to be wide enough for properly backspaced 35's. And they are removable.

Yes - the Xenon's are great. I have them on mine, and several local JK'ers are running them as well. I've seen them fold completely over themselves on a rock and then pop right back into place. They're made of a urethane vs. the plastic that the Bushwackers or stockers are made of.

Easy enough install too.

And shoot for a 4.5"-4.75" range for backspacing on the wheels.

They are 1.5" wider than the stock fenders on each side (3" total).
