i have personally seen all of them in the winter time and none of them seem to be effected by the cold.

regarding "brittle", the bushwacker pocket flares (not to be confused with the flat fenders) do seem to crack and break when hit but, that's regardless of temp. the flat fenders are made of a different type of plastic and can take a hit.

i love my jk's but, i will have to agree that their bodies are made out of super thin steel. for whatever it's worth, i have seen the best fender impact results with cut factory flares. once cut, they are very flexible and fold easily when hit and if the hit is severe enough, they just tear away. once you're past the obstacle, you can simply snap them back into place - trust me, i say all this with experience

Here is my personal experience with my Xenons; At the time Xenons were the only flat flare options (other than the stock flare mod). My jeep came from the dealer with those ridiculous Bushwacker "Pocket Flares" which broke on my first wheeling event 24hrs after my JK purchase. So I buy Xenons and the Arizona summer heat had warped the rear flares (no lexan stiffener included at the time for rear) within a week. Looked like crap, so I trimmed them. Then on a winter wheeling trip in the mountains, the front flares took a hit on a wall in a box canyon and the lexan stiffener supporting the front snapped and the front passenger started to sag......so I trimmed those too. If I had to do it all over I would buy a set of stock take offs and go the route of Wayoflife's rig, Moby Dick. But if you want aftermarket flats, Bushwacker gets that vote. Here are few photos of the very narrow Xenons I run now.

Like everyone is saying, its opinion, I like the look of the Bushwackers myself, I have a 2010 2 door Rubicon, and Im thinking that Id like to get a set of them and add some 35s, when the original tires wear out, but I may change my mind a dozen times by then lol......whatever you decide, please post some pics so we can see!!!

My bw's have taken some taps (I won't say hits, I wheel gently) in -25*C temps and look brand new.

I will say that my rears are getting very very mildly beat up from gravel thrown during my 2500 miles of high speed gravel and dirt road driving. Just sharp little picks in the plastic.

The driving I do tore my stock sahara flares down to the point where they look like factory black textured flares. I had to high build and paint them again to get them looking good. Then I took them off lol.

Just wondering... are the bushwackers wider than stock.. or only the xenon flares wider... i have 15x10 rims with a 3.75 backspace... so they stick out past the stock flares about 2 inches right now.. with a 35x12.50.... gonna buy some fenders soon.. and just want to cover more tire

the bushwackers are the same width as stock. if you want more coverage, you will want the xenons.
