Default Buying a used ProCal

I bought a used ProCal and it's on its way to me now. The guy I bought it from said it's been reset to factory. I just wanted to make sure that I won't be risking damage to my new jeep if I try to use it and the previous owner didn't reset it correctly.

It would make sense that if all of the switches are in the neutral position then your Jeep wouldn't recognize any changes that he made to his Jeep, but I might be wrong. You can find the PDF file for the manual online, that will tell you if anything else needs to be done to reset it.

If he has reset it, which has to happen before you can use it because it is a single vin programmer, then it's memory is cleared and will be like brand new to you.

you need to make sure it is a current procal as the ones prior to 2013 do not work on 2013 and 14's. If it has not been reset to factory calibrations then it will not do anything. you will know right a way.

Thanks guys. He assured me that it's been reset, so it should be good to go. I just wanted to make sure I couldn't damage anything if he reset it wrong. So, worst case scenario...it just won't do anything, right?

And he used it on a 2014 so I should be good to go there as well.
