Default c-gusset question

Do I need a c-gusset on a jku rubi if i am only going to wheel occasionally with 35"s

No you should be good but it never hurts to have a little extra insurance by strengthening up the axle, peace of mind.

As long as you go gently with the throttle you dont "need" them. the more axle protection the better though.

Stock C's are weak, you need them, especially with 35's. They get bent with stock tires aswell.
