Default C Gussets????

Ok Im ordering my rough country 4" X-Series lift to run 35X12.50s and I need to know, With a D30 Front axle will I need C Gussets with 35s or will I be safe on the D30? I am worried it is to flimsy of an axle to handle the weight.

Do the gussets, they are fairly inexpensive and a worthy upgrade IMO

You can buy them and get them installed for <$100. Definitely a worthy upgrade.

Just bring it to your local welder with pictures printed out from this forum. That way they do it right, it should be cheap.

I need to do this. Can anyone recommend a good welder in eastern VA. My normal shop has a five month wait right now.

Definitely get the gussets! I'm getting mine installed tomorrow, as I find myself worrying every time I go wheelin', thinking that my front end looks like a smiley face .

I've heard that with big tires the 30 can bend just by hitting a speed bump!

It doesnt take long wont cost you much money to have it welded in. Well worth the investment not having to worry about them bending for sure

If you want to add to the insurance, get the ORE sleeves too, they are pretty stout. I will be getting them when I get my gears...

Haha!! I'm taking mine into Off Road Evolution tonight to get it re-geared (4.88's), and I'm getting the sleeves and gussets!

I like the way you think!
