I was recommended to get Evo Rear Lower Control Arm Skids, Evo Front Control Arm Skids and Evo C2 Axle Gussets by Forum member and he welded it for me. Inexpensive but great mods

I've got the Terafelx gussets and wouldn't recommend them. They required grinding to clear my springs. Not cool, but they work fine now that they've been ground. I'm just sure there are better designs out there.

i wish it was this cheap up in the Northeast... mine are still sitting in a box because I can't find a shop that'll do it for less than 200...

I used the EVO axle sleeves and gussets, and while I have not wheeled my Jeep yet to offer any feedback, it just seems like some very cheap insurance/support to pass up.

I have 35x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's On my Jeep. I HAD a D30 Stock front axle. I snapped the passenger side U joint on a trail in snow/ice. I was winching up a hill and I decided to drive a little in tandem with the winch pulling. 4low 1st gear ~.5-1mph of wheel spin. 3-5 seconds later. (boom) snapped U. I had no option but to keep driving and get out the best I could. Which resulted in breaking the ears off the Axle (passenger side) on the wheel/diff side. SOOOOOO I had to get an upgrade. I decided to just go with D30 Chrome Alloy. They say 10 year warranty to not break. So I've been running that for a good while now. I've had no problems. Now as for the Axle Housing breaking I've not heard or have had anyone tell me they have seen them break. If you're easy on the skinney pedal and don't bounce really hard on a trail system. You should be fine. (imo). But if you plan on wheeling your jeep like I do. I'd definately expect/plan for a broken U joint in your near future & maybe replacing the axle as I did. I'll try & upload a few pictures soon of my break.

Do you think this would have been avoided with gussets or do you think im going to break a U-Joint regardless of support?

In all honestly it all depends on how you drive and if the wheeling gods want you to make it. If you never take it off road then you dont have to worry about it, but if you like to play then build everything up as much as you can afford. Then replace with stronger what you break. If for nothing else peace of mind and more fun.
