Default Cages?

Lets see them, there has got to be someone with pics.......I would mainly like to see a custom cage on an Unlimited. In my opinion these should be 8 point cages, having the other two points on either side of the rear seats.......Ive never been a fan of the way Jeep only runs the front part of the cage to the windshield frame as this is weak........For those of you that have spent all this money on a lift 37's, bumpers, winch, rocker guards, interior bling and so on, a cage should have been top priority right up there with a winch if your doing any sort of wheeling. I have seen plenty of stock Jeep cages fail, including my own.......I just got real lucky.

I dont have a JK yet and havent got to look at one long enough to see if there is enough room to run through the dash like there was on TJ's.......or if people are gonna have to go the Poison Spyder route around the dash and bolted to the firewall/floor.

There is a JK on JeepForum that roles on 38.5s with an exo, but I think his is more for body protection. It would be cool to see some pics of a nicely done interior cage although man would it be a to build one around all of that plastic. So far the only thing I have seen on here is the Rock Hard cage which certainly isn't an 8 point full cage.

Pumpkin, you getting a JK in place of your BA TJ? I'd like to see a "hardcore" rig or atleast someone to take a JK to its limits offroad. Too many 37s and d30s so far.

Not exactly in place of, but im selling the TJ and trading in my truck and getting a JK to mildly build - for now. It will probably also be one of those on 37's and a d30 for a year or two. Once Im settled in my new Job and have the time and $$ again to play I will buy a tow rig and build the JK in the same manner as my TJ. Right now im trying to get out of college and into the "real world" and dont have extra time on hand. Plus I enjoy building Jeeps and the JK Unlimited has much better platform - with room for 4 people and a good amount of gear plus the 116" wheelbase makes it great for some larger than life tires.

OK, enough personal stuff........back on topic! Custom Cages! I wanna see them!
