can caster issues cause death wobble?
I just put new coils on my jeep. Clayton 3.5. Initially I put on a one inch spacer up front up front for winch weight compensation. This gave me over 5 inchs of lift up front. I did the lift proper. Loosened entire front end all control arms trackbars. Torqued on ground to factory specs. HORRIBLE DEATH WOBBLE. I checked everthing. All bushings good. All torque amounts proper. Checked drag link and tie rod. Everythng good. I remove one inch coil and it id much better. I have stock front arms. Could the crazy caster numbers cause this alone or us there something else off somewhere?
Death wobble isn't usually caused by a single issue. It's usually a compilation of a few problems. That said, the minimal caster angle of a stock JK gets worse, as you've discovered, when you lift it without using adjustable control arms. Poor caster angles increase death wobble tendency.
In effect when lifting a vehicle and leaving the stock arms on, you are pulling both axles closer together under your jeep. Chances for DW increase the higher you go especially with a shorter wheelbase such as a 2dr. Once you start getting DW, the more it happens, the more probs/wear you'll have on other parts.
You may be able to adjust your toe out alittle see if it helps till you get your arms.

Yes you just need front lower control arms to adjust your castor.
23" is usually a good starting point with that lift height.
The EVOs can be adjusted while staying fully installed on your JK to fine tune the castor. No removal of one end required to adjust the length.

How are the angles on the trackbar and draglink? Compare to TF's video:

With 5" of lift, you should be looking at a flip also.
