can i keep my d44's?
im currently running 35" bfg. km2's. i have an 07 rubicon w/ stock d44's. anyways i crawl a lot , and people say i "play rough". im upgrading my short arm to a long arm kit and wanna run 37's. am i at a great risk of breaking? if so, what? this is my dd and i dont have money or time to replace the axel, now or when it breaks.... soooo should i stay with 35's???
the only reason i want to step it up to 37's is because my friends shit play toys are runnin 37's and stuff but i do like the flex room of 4" lift and 35's. and wont the long arm kit help me flex more anyway?
Wheel hard on rocks and eventually something will give. Saw a d44 axle pop a clip and blow a ujoint on a level 2 trail, because it has been wheeled hard on 4 and 5 rated trails. If you wheel hard you need a repair fund.

This was very true with TJs, Not so much with JKUs. I compared the RTI score of a popular long arm kit to another poplular short arm kit and the difference was almost nil. It looks like you have a 2 door - not sure what the RTI scores would be with a 2 door. Perhaps you would get more flex, but I would want to see real world RTI scores before investing in long arms.
