Default Can't decide on which 4 inch lift to get..

I have a 2009 JK 4 door with 35's and am currently looking at upgrading to a 4 inch lift, but there are so many out there with so many options, i just dont know what to get, or what are the better ones out there.. I need some help.. so if you have a 4 inch let me know about it so i can make my decision better.. and also do i really need to change my front driveshaft for a 4 inch?

Default choices

After months and months searching this forum and polling members (much to their annoyance) I decided on a Teraflex 4" kit. I have had the kit for about 5 months now and I love it! I got the lift with upper and lower adjustable control arms and shocks. It is very complete and easy to install, provided you have the correct tools and a basic mechanical knowledge. As for performance I am very satisfied. The on road ride is slightly stiffer than stock but not uncomfortably so, and the off road performance is awesome!. Im sure there are other kits that are awesome as well but I just love my TeraFlex! As for the drive shaft replacement, if you plan on wheeling often or going over some serious terrain I would advise a DS swap. It will rub on the transmission and eventually fail due to flex or the boot will tear and it will vomit grease all over your under carriage. Tom Woods or J.E. Reel both make great drive shafts if you are considering this route. You dont have to immediately replace the DS, but I did just so I wouldnt have to later. Good luck with the build!

Well you didn't say how much money you wanted to spend or weather or not you can weld. I too searched for the longest time to find a lift and decided on two. The Full Traction Long Arm is a great bolt-on kit that lets those like me, who can't weld, still install the kit yourself. (which is the fun part with a couple buddies) If you can weld then there is the Teraflex Long Arm kit that Dave at Northridge4X4 is selling with free Teraflex Speed Bumps. This deal was too good for me so I went with the Teraflex instead of the Full Traction. Now I just have to find someone that can weld in SoCal that wants to help install the kit. Good luck.

Yeah i didnt mention price, cause i am not sure how much i should spend. my logic is if i get what i want i can always save and wait to get the lift that will do what i want. As for the welding, i can weld and am not against a kit that requires it, however, i am stationed in the UK currently, and finding a booth that will let me weld with my jeep on the lift might be hard to come by. What i am really looking for lift wise is something that is adjustable, and that when i order the lift kit i dont also have to order 50 other parts to go with it to make it work. i have seen alot of lifts out there while doing research that dont seem "complete" i.e. brake line extensions, swaybar disconnects and etc.. i would like my jeep to handle decent on the road while having good functionality while wheeling with all the stuff they have over here in the UK.
