Caster Question
You can or you can read one of the write ups online for the TJ. Essentialy the same alignment as the last jeeps but a little easier to setup toe. The easiest thing would be to take a measurement of the existing arms wind your new ones to that then drive it to the shop and specify a caster adj. You will save on install the only thing I would have around is a wrachet strap to pull the axel. Once you undo one arm it likes to shift a bit.
For caster I use a degree dial and put ontop of the upper steering knouckle ball joint.

Try this for the length of the arms. It gives you the length for the the 3" and 4" TeraFlex lifts.

Its a starting point for the length of the arms.

I am thinking of going with just the lower front tereflex flexarms. What do you guys think?
Go for it!!!!!!
I going to do baby steps with the arms. Front lowers first then the rear uppers followed by the other sets. The price is the as a set or individually through my dealer.

Thanks for all the replies...looks like adjustable arms will be the way to go....
so I take it that those 1.5-2 degrees that I am off will make it wander. The reason I ask this is everything seems tight(all the joints and such), but there is a lot of play in the steering wheel...we just got back from vacation where we did a lot of hwy driving and it seems like from 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock is just dead space that really doesn't engage the steering.
The reason that the dealer adjusted the toe-in, is that iwas too far in...it must have come from the factory that way b/c I never touched it

Well, I guess the next thing to do is get the adjustable control arms...I wouldlove to do all 4 fronts at once, but think I may have to do one or the other for now....So the question is...which ones...I did some searches and heard both sides....I heard uppers alone would be better but can't adjust them short enough to correct the whole issue...I could do lowers, and it would give me enough adjustment...But might put the front tires too close to the bumper....any thoughts if just doing one set?
Well it's all going to be an opinion on this. I would prefer to do lowers first due to the fact that your wheel base shrank when you did your lift. So it should get your wheel base back to somewhat normal and fix your caster. You really can't go wrong with doing either one if I was in your position buy whatever set is cheaper first. It may be only ten bucks but it's an extra lunch or two during the week. At least this way you don't agonise about it any more and it's a simple desion " That ones cheaper thats the one I will buy". Now I don't mean quality just preice from a good vendor.
X2 on Clackeys tire pressure comment, that will help out a ton and keep your tires wearing proper.
I also agree the uppers alone wont give you enough adjustment, but enough to improve your wandering some. The fact that some of the middle of the road priced kits come with only new lower control arms, that may be your better bet. They are also easier to change too. The uppers require you to get out your sawzall and cut a bolt off and get a new one (thank you DC) The passenger side upper control arm bolt hits the exhaust keeping you from removing it all the way. The quickest/easiest solution is to just cut it and replace it (rather than drop the exhaust)
Also, when you lifted it, your axle moved back, the lowers will help you push it forward to where it started.
My vote goes to new lowers!
PS Added benefit. The lowers you will get to see! If you change your uppers you will never see them again unless you climb under the Jeep. If feels better to spend money on something you can see!
