Changed rock rails (modified them)
They began to chip and flake pretty badly, so I decided to re-create them!
I cut them open , drilled 9 3 inch holes in the side of them and then had them sandblasted and powdercoated for 200 bucks.
They are now a totally custom looking rock guard!
Here they are on the JK.... I really like the look!
As far as strength goes.... they are well boxed bent and welded... don't think it will make a difference.
Yes that is a Runva9500 with syntheic line (60ft) got it new off of e-bay for 235 dollars on a bid I won on 3 years ago!
I've never had problems with the winch, one spring I pulled a tree over sideways before it moved the jeep... (stuck bad). I've only done recovery wit hit twice, mostly used it to pull up stumps.
I did have a problem with the control unit once... the switch quit working... but it was easy to fix. Other then that... it seems to pull strong, and is rather quick.
i have to agree ! installed those look really good ! ive heard and read alot of good things about the runva . they have some good videos on youtube of em in action . you got a hell of a deal
