Thanks
you can run the solinoid box anywhere, just extend the power leads with the correct size wire and you are good.

Oh and the "Free spool/locked" lever is indexable so you can move the lever where you need it.

bathroom scale says winch alone with the included wire on it is 60lbs so maybe 45lbs ish with the synthetic line.

Thank you Sir! that's the info I've been looking for. Love the price but could fined anyone who had one. This will be the perfect winch for the inside factory bumper mod.

4wheelparts.com show this winch in there mail catalog but half the parts in the catalog are not on their web site.

so any updates? i have been looking at this. it has a 10 x 4.5 bolt pattern right? I cant find many winch plates that work with the stock bumper other than WARN and it goes with midframe winches that have a 10 x 4.5 pattern. If anyone knows other winch plates that will work let me know! Sorry making my own is not an option

I ordered this winch last week to bolt up to my new Fab Fours front bumper. Can't beat the price. Note that 4wd is having a 10% off sale on everything on their website through the end of July, so you save another $30.

I checked the specifications on the winch before I bought. It has the 10 x 4.5 bolt pattern the same as most Warn winches, and is slightly smaller (about 1/2") in all dimensions from a standard Warn 8000 or 9000. Thus, it will fit on any winch plate or winch bumper that will fit standard Warn winches.

Here...this is cut and pasted from the 4wd webpage on this winch:

The NEW Smittybilt XRC8 8,000lb winch has a hand wound permanent magnetic motor which is the standard for the true off Roader. This is the most reliable motor on the market today. Two Year Limited Warranty, 4.1 hp motor, 3-stage planetary gear system, 265:1 reduction ratio for fast line speed, free spooling, automatic load-holding brake, power in and out and a roller fairlead. A 12 ft illuminated handheld remote control,. Comes with a 5/16" x 92’ galvanized aircraft cable with replaceable hook. Mounting bolt pattern: 10" x 4.5", OAL Dim. 21" x 6.22" x 7.283.

(I assume I can link here since 4wd is a sponsoring vendor, right?)

Hope that helps.

it does. my options were getting a new bumper and winch or winch plate, cut the font bumper and getting a winch. Comes out cheaper this way!

This is my 2-3 year winch. Then, if it is stil working, it will be my rear winch, assuming I can find a rear bumper tire carrier that will work.
