Default Cheaper Tow Hooks?

I don't know why, but I'm not a big fan of the stock JK tow hooks, nor of the price tag.
Does anyone have any success stories mounting less expensive, less-stock looking tow hooks, or even bolt on mounts for shackles?

what price tag are you looking at? there are a lot of guys here who will sell your theirs for cheap and others who will give them away for free. i did and i would if i still had mine to give again

as far as bolt on mounts go, you can use the PJ mounts.

LOL...I'd never say no to free of course!
I'm looking for something in the $50 and below range. Though, for a substantial discount, I would be willing to overlook my stylistic difference with the stock hooks.

God I hate this economy.

hmmm, at the $50 range, you aren't going to find too much available to you. while you might be able to use old school standard hooks, you would will need to do some drilling to make it work and even at that, i'm not 100% sure how well it would work out. try posting a thread in the "wanted" forum and maybe something will turn up. like i said, there are guys in socal who are always willing to help out another jeeper in need

I can't imagine anything with the stock bumper.
The PJ shackles would work if you had a homemade bumper
