Never rechecked it because I thought it would be reset and no codes would show up.

Check it again, if no codes, no worries. Unless your light comes back on soon with the same code.

ok check engine light back on and i got a code. p0406 which i looked up and is egr position sensor circuit high so what does this mean and what do i need to do?

i cant go to the dealer thats rape waiting to happen. i was hoping someone might have some insight on this as to what exactly the problem is. what i can do to fix it myself or what i am dealing with. i dont understand what this is i googled it and got some feedback but still not understanding what i need to do to fix the problem.
