I have an M8000 on my Unlimited and it pulled me up a sandy hill I bogged down in last weekend and it has pulled others up hills too.

Cost to use it was the best Warn out there for my needs. (I was biased to Warn for a few reasons otherwise I would have done a Smittybilt). As long as there are anchor points (trees, boulders, other jeeps) you should be fine, especially if you have a snatch block with you.
