Default Clearance Lights

Has anyone installed clearance lights above the windshield? If so, what brand, style did you use, how did you mount them and wire them?

Before anyone asks, I'm not trying to make it look like a Hummer, just curious what it would look like, I travel in some pretty hilly country and they really make a difference when you can see them before the headlights so you can get brights turned off and let people know you are there.

I wouldn't care if it looked Hummer-like. I think the Hummers are good looking. Those lights look good, and would look great on a Jeep.

Those lights wouldn't look good to me.. If you want them knock yourself out.... but my motto is if it ain't broke don't fix it... the Jeep looks good why mess with good.

Can't imagine where you would put them? Maybe mount small amber LED's?

There appears to be enough space above the windshield for some small ones. LED's are a good idea. Don't know if I'll do this if no one else has, I'm not willing to be a guinea Pig, just hoping someone had so I could see how it looked and how much a pain in the Arse it was to install.

Talking Hmmm

I don't think it is too involved,

You just need to mark where you want them, take off your windshield upper seal, Drill four to six holes through the metal, yikes, And wire a LED and run all the wires behind the seal.
Reglue the seal back on and use some silicone to seal the holes behind the LED. Run the wires to run off you headlight switch, not sure which wire, and I don't think six led will pull any significant power whatsoever, and Find some replacement Amber light covers from any truck and glue/silicone them over the LEDs.

Your choice, All you need is a few tools, some supplies and some large manhood to actually drill your Jeep. No Drilling for me, yet......

If you go through with it I wanna see some pics...
