Default Clockspring bust?

Have a few things to fix on the Jeep so want to get another opinion before buying something I don't need.

Was out wheeling on Saturday and I noticed my horn wouldn't work, steering wheel controls don't work, and the buttons on the steering wheel don't light up with the interior lights.

Randomly my horn worked for 2 seconds when I pressed it and then nothing. On the way home my cruise control button does work and does engage/disengage the cruise correctly but nothing else works on it.

Sounds like a clock spring yes? I don't think there is any fuse that would control all of these functions that are not working and if it was a fuse it wouldn't randomly work for a couple seconds before not responding again.

Is your airbag light on?

It does sound like a clockspring issue

No additional lights on in the dash, no random horn going off, nothing.

Everything is the same as it was with the exception of the steering wheel functions being non responsive (cruise being the exception)

I recently had the issue of my horn not working randomly after some hwy driving. No lights or anything going off, cc still works and all...maybe not exactly the same issue youre having, but it wouldnt hurt to check your connections, maybe they came loose? Turned out, on my jeep, the horn connection is angled downward, so just a hard enough bump and the connector could definitely pop right out..which is what happened.

Hope you get yours resolved.

I can't speak in the subject of yes it is or no it is not. But I can get you a like to a dealer that sells Mopar parts cheap. I just replaced my clock spring they had it cheaper than anyone else.. I will look for it.

It was Steve White Motors they are a chrysler dealer but an online parts sales.
