Default Code P06DD

Ok..did some searching but can't really find a conceret answer...So this code popped up out of nowhere...put the jeep in limp mode (won't rev past 3500)... I did some searching and found out some people had issues with the oil filter (seems a little silly)..but I changed mine out with a filter from NAPA... turned the light off (via my Diablo)...then drove for a good long while (like 1.5 days) and then out of nowhere it kicked back on... more searching..now it looks like it might be the oil pressure sending unit... go to Mopar and pick up the factory one... replaced it..drove...then BING back on!!!! Ugh.... I re set the code again and it seems like the intervals for the code to kick back on are becoming shorter...now it will come back on after about 10-15 minutes of driving it after I reset it..

Where do I go from here.... I would take it to the dealer as I have the rest of this month on my warranty...butttttt... I kinda have a turbo on it... LOL...

I also am able to monitor the oil pressure via my Aerofoce gauge and it never fluctuates and stays within factory specs (right about 30-40 at ideal once warm)... then up progressively from there...

Does the engine oil feed the turbo?

I wonder if it's related to that.

How long between your last oil/filter change and this code popping up?

The last oil change was when i installed the turbo kit..about 2000 miles ago (ish)... There are people with this kit for year's and not having this issue... So I am not sure if that has anything to do with it (but I am open to all possibilities)

One other thing I heard of was an update on the computer...Anyone heard of this?

There are two different filters for the 3.6L engine.
2011 - 1013 68191349AA
2014 and later 68079744AC

Any chance you have the wrong one?

Are you able to monitor oil temperature?
Are you running the correct, factory specified oil viscosity?

The filter I purchased was from NAPA...but the issue I have is I was running around with that filter before (I put them side by side and they were identical) so why just out of nowhere would that kick off this light... seems far fetched...

I can monitor Oil temps (I was doing this before Oil pressure)...and oil temps are perfect..never go over 200

And ya I ran the factory spec oil (minus it is synthetic)

Also does anyone know where the oil pump is located...can you get at it by dropping the oil pan? Or do you have to pull the motor?

The oil pump is on the front of the engine, below the crankshaft. It is chain driven.
Oil pan has to come off.
It's probably not easy getting to the pump. Pulling the engine shouldn't be necessary.

This just seem like it is far fetched... as Monitoring oil pressure it is flawless (via the aeroforce)....

Dang it... Not sure where to go from here on this stupid code!!
