Coilovers benefit or not?
I am trying to educate myself on the ORI set up now (Instead of Coil Overs), maybe I will go that way. That's what this forum is supposed to be for, to get help and pick the brains of the more knowledgeable guys.

So because he doesnt know he shouldn't be asking? Maybe he's wanting some education and help from the experienced guys on this forum and is trying to educate himself to see if it would be a good fit for his rig? How else is he supposed to find out without asking??????? I am trying to educate myself on the ORI set up now (Instead of Coil Overs), maybe I will go that way. I would have moved to the ORI if I did not already have so much already invested in coil overs and air bumps. Simple set up, eliminates other components, and saves weight. My next phase of my build will be to reduce weight so I may go back to the ORI at that time to help with that.
Out of curiosity, why did they ditch the set up? On road ride, something else?
I was thinking of either going with their bolt on set up, or spending $2500 (Keeping my coils) and going with the Fox Internal Bypass 2.5. My wheels/Tires are so heavy, for street driving alone I need a better shock for control (I wheel 1-2 times a month). What say you sir?

I think trying to put them on a JKU does start to push the limits a bit, but doable. You may find that running two per corner is needed if you want to like how it rides. What I am finding is that ORIs work best when there is somewhat of a balance between sprung and unsprung weight. So, running D60 type axles on a JK is a good match. Here is the logic. The upper chamber and lower chamber run different pressures. The upper pressure is what will set ride height and also creates the extension force. The lower chamber pressure creates stability by resisting extension. So, I have my lowers set with a focus on stability. I have no sway bars and it corners as well or better than a stock Jeep, there is zero unloading when climbing off-road, and in off camber situations, there is virtually no lean.
Now, keep in mind that "higher" lower chamber pressures resist extension of the strut. So, let's say you have a big JKU. Well, you want "higher" lower chamber pressures. Now let's assume you are running light stock axles. The struts aren't going to extend as easily due to lack of unsprung weight.

Once you try them, you will never look back. I hear you about weight. That's my next phase as well. Decided to build my roll cage out of 4130 to get a head start on that process. The issue for me is that most of the weight to be lost is in the axles. I'm toying with the idea of building Spider 9s with Hi-9s, but I'm not sure axles that light would be better for the wheeling I do...
I do mostly crawling. Some would say that having a little more unsprung weight can help with traction. I just need to buy some stickies...
