Default Cold Air Intake

I am interested in a K&N aircharger to complement my corsa cat back exhaust but I am worried about long term damage to the engine with the K&N system. I am now leaning towards a Mopar air filter just because it's a Mopar product. Any comments on either system?

I decided to got the K&N drop in route. I am sure the CAI would sound better and give a bit more umph. I will be driving through high water at some point. It floods like crazy in this town. I really do not want to have to worry about water in the intake.

I've read that performance air intake allow more dirt and debris to pass through

There is no way those filters can allow more dirt to pass. They just have more square inches sucking down that air. Just keep cleaning it. Personally I would go with a volant intake. :thumbsup!
