Default Cold Air Intake

hey guys, general question about cold air intakes.

been lookin at afe and K&n intakes.

there's a stage 2 afe intake, which ive been looking at online.

which ones do you think are good for stock? its a minor upgrade tha im about to buy....

suggestions?

If you go through water or mud, I would be against it. All K&N products are good. On a Jeep any performance upgrade that small will probably go unnoticed. They sound good though!

I would go K&N...but I would be careful in water....that being said the K&N filter is easy to clean

I would just go with the K&N drop in filter.

The stock air intake is best for a stock engine.

I had the airaid intake on my jeep and saw a small increase in mpg if driving easy and a significant diff in power when driven above 3000rpm. Also the sound is fantastic! (there is a whistle at certain rpm&load combos) I switched to a river raider snorkel with stock intake and have even better mpg and power on interstate, due to the ram air effect I guess
