Default cold air intake question

is anyone running the volant or xdi intakes or know anything about them? Ive heard good things about the aem brute force but i really want a box around the filter (peace of mind thing i guess) so i am between these two. the xdi is really different than most intakes and also more $$ any help would be great, thanks

Default ive got an air raid intake

ive got and air raid intake and a throttle body spacer. I could tell a slight difference in power gain and the engine whistles when the intake sucks air, it sounds pretty cool. I recently put 35s and I lost some power so I need to upgrade gear ratios. I probably get one of those power chip things from hyertech . If I were to get a different intake I would probably go with the brute force, I heard good things bout them.

Those intakes are great, but i chose to get the S&B...No complaints so far and I like the fact that the filter is sealed....

Thanks....The S&B intake has the same filter efficiency as the stock filter, but is reusable and has a 63.4% more air flow rate + it doesnt look too shabby...

I have a 2008 Rubicon Unlimited and I just installed an XDI.

Install was easy and it looks awesome. It looks massive and has great sound. My Rubicon is red and therefore the red couplings on the XDI match well.

Good boost in acceleration.

I would not hesitate to get one.

I had a K & N intake on my 2005 wrangler. This one sounds better...different engine too.

That S & B looks good also and the clear window would be handy for filter inspection.

Good luck.

I will try to post some pics in the next few days.

huskers, do you do a lot of wheeling with your xdi? if so does it breath at a good spot to avoid sucking in water or mud? thanks

Thanks
PM'd you...Hope it answered your questions...Thanks...
