I started with the K&N drop in filter and noticed zero difference. Then I installed the aFe Stage II and felt a slight improvement. Don't expect huge gains. Don't even expect medium size gains. But there is a small/slight gain in performance with a substantial gain in growl, especially at WOT.

I would consider a snorkel instead of CAI. If you think you are going to water crossings, snorkel is one of the steps to setting up your jeep for deep crossings.

You can check out this thread on Snorkel vs CAI

I have been beta testing for a company called Road Race Motorsports. Running a cool air intake and it also has a piggy back system that comes with it. I have had my Rig for a year now and hands down this is going to be the best mod I have done to my jeep. Sounds the same up until you get to 3000 rpm and then it sounds mean. Get better throttle response and for sure has more power. Gas mileage I feel is about the same as I always get but I drive hard and my Rig is heavy with all the body armor I have installed.

I installed a dynomax cat back and a Banks cai two weeks ago. While I haven't noticed any additonal power, my mpg went from 15.1 to 16.6 miles per gallon. Worth the investment if it stays that way.
