Default compressed springs...?

I purchased a lift off of another member here and he burned me on bumpstops and brake line extentions....
Now I built my own rear bumpstops and brake line extentin brackets But I have not done anything for the front bumpstops... I have to pull my front axle next week to install my Magnum 44 sleevs and C2 gussets and I was wondering if I should get or build some bumpstops for the front..

Now the question I do not have any rubbing issues at full flex with discoed swaybar but my springs are completely squished together and I heard that this is bad for the springs and after a while they may not expand back to full height if over squshed like this!

Is this true if it is I will put 4" bumpstops up front and call it a day but if this is not true I will save myself the hassle of building or buying and waiting

Thanks in advance
-Kevin

It is possible to over compress a spring. I think it would be a good idea to install bumpstops while you have it apart.

Since you aren't rubbing at full stuff, you could probably get away with 2" instead of adding both.

With 4" of lift and no bumpstops, my springs were fully compressed and I rubbed fender and bumper. Adding front lower bumpstops stopped my spring from over-compressing. Still rubbing a bit up on the fender, but I'll trim instead of getting uppers to keep that extra bit of travel.

At full stuff I was very close to both the fender and the bumper but never touched. I may touch though if I was to turn while at full stuff. Also there was baout 2" of space between the stock bumpstop and the base but the springs were completely compressed so I figure a 4" BS will hold it up 2" from full compression

It is a rat.... A buddy of mine saw me scooting through some quad trails and he couldnt take his truck through because of trees, and he said I was weaving around like a rat so the name Trail Rat kinda stuck for the Jeep and I had a friend at a decal shop draw and make up a sticker for the back
