The arms are pretty tuff and durable, the arm body is blasted and powder coated and the Johnny Joint parts are zinc plated. With that said, over time salt on the road is tuff on parts no matter whos parts you buy. The best thing you can do it grease them regularly specially after winter, the new grease will push out any contaminated grease, on the outside just hose them down good when washing your vehicle and maybe squirt them with some light rust inhibitor lubricant to keep corrosion to a minimum.

Great question !!!!! Currie just did an "update" on a TJ for one of the magazines, article should be out in a few months. The vehicle was equipped with Johnny Joint control arms. After 100k on the suspension system, including the arms, the Johnny Joints showed verry little wear. They were still pretty tight and it looked like they never pumped any grease in them.

Johnny Joints were the first joint of its kind in the market and they have been around for over 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that the Johnny's (2) give you more articulation, than a Johnny in conjunction with a urethane bushing, what about road vibration,if going to do offroad only for sure the Currie C.A. is the way to go.My concern is road handling (vibration)

I've got all 8 Currie arms on mine and love them. I don't notice any more road noise or vibration than when it was stock. The highway handling of the Jeep is great and I really don't think the handling is any different than stock. Even with my 4" lift. I'm sure the other manufactures arms are great also, but I can only speak for Currie's. Their customer service is great also.

I thought Clayton Offroad had them too.

I also ordered all 8 Currie arms from Northridge to go along with a 4" lift on mine. They should be delivered soon and installed as soon as the rest of my parts arrive.
