Default Corner panel carnage

Well this weekend I destroyed my corner panel and tail light. I've read some threads on this similar situation. Should I just pound it out slap some paint on it and then cover it with some armor? If so what armors do you recommend?
Also the quarter panel is dented just. Little no chipped paint or scratches. Hard to pop out dents on?

does the dent bother you? If it doesn't bother then patch it up the best you can. I know when i slid into a tree and bashed my panel and tail light in I was able to convince my wife that I needed corner armor. Since then I've had a couple brushes with trees and have been thankful for the corner armor. I went with PSC corner armor and have been very happy with it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the major companies armor just depends on the style and amount you want to cover.

I went through the same thing, wanted to try and fix it myself - for as easily as the corner seemed to crush in, it did not want to come back out at all.

There is bracing behind it that is likely crushed as well, and there is no easy way to remove just the panel to re-shape it from the underside.

In the end I just caved in and filed the insurance claim; as soon as I got it back I put on some OR-Fab corners - and a good thing too, my very next trip (winter run), I slid backwards down a hill and gleamed off a tree, no damage done aside from embedding some brown from the tree bark into the powder coating.

I like PSC and I have their brawler lite front bumper and also their bfh rear....really wishin I had the rear bumper installed prior to this!

Jeep Trail Armor Rear Corner Pair | 14010 | Bushwacker

This is a little more in my price range. I'm thinking of just beating or using a press to straighten out the corner panel then painting it (to prevent rust) and covering it with these bushwacker trial covers.

Also does anyone know how these bushwackers look/work with smitybilt flat fenders?

First of all, congrats, you now have an excuse to spend money on your rig. I would just pound that out and hit it with some primer to prevent rust. Depending on how much you want to spend but I would just buy the bushwacker or warrior corner guard and a used taillight. You could scrap that crappy plastic bumper and upgrade with a rear stubby or at least a metal one. If money is an issue check Craigslist for a JK rear takeoff. Post pic afterwards..

As of now I'm thinking about spending the extra money on some AEV rear corner guards.
AEV Conversions 10303012AA - AEV Rear Corner Guard Kit for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
I've also read some good reviews on them. I will post pictures when I eventually order the parts. And find the time to install them along with m PSC rear bumper.
Thanks guys!
