Default Crash bar removal

So after reading lots of posts about the lack of structural integrity it provides and the eye sore it causes with my ruggedridge bumper I decided I'm gonna remove it and have a buddy weld in a skid plate to give even more clearance. Can this be removed with a dremmel with a metal cut off wheel? I know most used a sawzall but I blew my tool budget for a bit as the holidays are coming up. So my question is whether or not you experienced guys think it'll work.

Depends how big your dremmel is... If its closer to a cutoff wheel then shouldn't be much problem minus a few discs. If its one of those little dremmels for mini projects I don't see it happening in any timely fashion. Could probably just get a hack saw and do it by hand in that case.

Cutoff wheel and angle grinder. Dremel would take forever and use a ton of bits.

An angle grinder is the tool. Buy one for about $30-40 and sometimes you can find one that comes with a set of cutting and grinding discs. You will need both. Your dremel will just take way too long and probably burn it up or otherwise cause it harm.

If you don't want to buy one find a fellow Jeeper and make an event out of the work. If you are in the North Alabama area pm me.

For a lot less, get the harbor freight grinder. I've a used mine without issue. $20 with a coupon.
