Default Cruise Control dead

I had a code that was indicating bad cruise control switch, ordered and replaced the switch but did the fix the problem. My next step I believe Is to replace the clock spring. Somebody mentioned that I should take it in and have it replaced under the warranty recall and said that they are easy to mess up. It looks pretty simple and I had no problem removing the air bag and steering wheel to replace the cruise control switch. I don’t really want to have to deal with dealership or am I missing something? Is there a certain part number or MFG to avoid if I buy one myself?

I have the same issue and fear the same as you. But my clockspring is updated long before I owned it. So am going to check continuity of the wires from the switch connection to the ECU. I suggest you do the same. Will require a second person to hold the ohm meter on one end.

Do you have any brake light errors or codes, any brake issue will likely disable cruise

No other brake or wheel speed issues or codes. Occasionally my wipers won’t shut off when I turn them off and I have been having problem on start up where my stereo will blare. Stopped at dealership was going to pick one up until they told me the cost, ended up talking with Customer Service and they said it was covered under warranty so they are ordering and replacing for me when it comes in.
