Default Cut Coils Shorter

I have the rock krawler 3.5 and i got about 5 inhes of lift. I am wondering how long the 2.5s are and if i can cut them down a tad to reduce the lift.

I would contact RK or the vendor you bought them from and see what they can do before cutting

Cutting coils doesnt hurt anything the problem is the top coils are flattened to dispurse the springs compression evenly over the surface of contact and when you cut them the coils have a tendamcy to want to bow out a little vs straight compression. The cut coil is no longer a flat surface so instead of sitting in the pocket and pressing semi evenly it compresses and pushes out a smidge...

So as suggested see about vendor options first....

If i got it to bow the right way it would help actually as the gussets cause it to rub on my frame...

Apart from that, there is no way of cutting the rear ones. Their ends are tightened to smaller "seating" rings than the rest of the spring...

The front coils are progressive weight springs so cutting the spring will actually affect the way they perform. As someone mentioned, your best option is to contact Rock Krawler or swap with someone looking for more lift.
