Quick question. What ate ours bumpers made of ( material wise )? I've been hearing aluminum, and steel. Need to know so I can find out if I can use my recip saw or need a cutting torch.

the inner part is made of steel, but it's really thin, like 1/16".

yup I just took a sawzall to mine and pretty thin stuff.

Ok. I haven't started it yet but does that plastic front just come off, or do you have to cut it all together first then detach it?

start by removing the 8 bolts that holds the bumper to the frame, then both parts will come off and you will be able to seperate them.

I separated mine but if I were doing it again I would leave them together. I would also not remove the bumper because it is an odd shape and hard to hold steady while cutting. there are two bolts on each outboard part of the metal piece and you want to cut on the outboard side of those as they are what secure the plastic to the inner metal portion. I tried to cut about 1/8" from them to make mine as short as possible.
