back in the day they used to have axle truss's with skid plate forthe housing, I havent seen them since I got my jk, but I just did search....check out these articles and the one pic of the gold con ferr truss is the one I actually had put on my 83cj to straighten and stop the axle from bending more...it held up for a good six months...
anyone know if they make them for our jk's ? they have a nice skid plate on them for the pumpkin, better then just a new cover I think

$12,500 for axles is way too steep for me. I would rather buy a dedicated trail rig, like a high mileage TJ then lift and do my own custom junk yard truck axles for way cheaper than that. I have heard that the Currie axles are about $4,000 rear and $4,000 to $5,000 front. That is approx. What did they say was out of spec? Did you see the bend in the housing?
If it truly is bent and you want a cheap solution for now so you don't have to spend that amount of money I have a complete D30 with 4.10's I took off of mine I will sell you for $100 if you come and take it out of my garage. I need to get it out of here and I am in Fountain Valley.
