Default D Rings on Stock Bumper.

Has anyone put D rings on a stock X bumper, one without tow hooks and fog lights?

Plus, is anyone running a bumper without the plastic cover?

There are a few pics of front bumpers without the cover. One or two have ground off the crush cans.

Can't recall if I saw any with D-rings though. Will see if I can find some of those posts for ya.

I think Woods was making some custom d-ring that bolt into place of the tow-hooks but not sure they are out yet. Last time Ichecked it would be about 4 weeks till his DIY bumper was out so i guess that would mean at least as long for the D-Rings... Hope that helps

Thanks. I think that looks pretty good. I think if it had D rings instead of the tow hooks it would make it look sweet.

That looks great. Has anyone put the d rings on and put the plastic cover back on?

From what i can remember with the two stock bumpers i had there is a lot of dead air space that is meant to conceal the crush cans and probably eat up some very low speed impacts. Even if you hacked the plastic up pretty seriously i'm pretty sure those d-rings would be 90% inside the plastic bump-outs.

if that makes any sense at all...

That makes sense. I didn't know how flush the plastic was to the metal.
